Account Director

Full Time | El Segundo, CA (On site at our production facility)

About The Role:

We’re looking for a seasoned Account Director who doesn’t just manage business… they grow it.

This person will serve as the strategic and relational lead on multiple Sweet Spot Media’s partnerships. You’ll be the face of Sweet Spot to senior client leadership, responsible for driving performance, strengthening trust, and uncovering new opportunities.

You’ll lead a cross-functional team spanning creative, production, digital, and media while mentoring junior talent and creating a culture of accountability, clarity and momentum.

What You’ll Own

Client Leadership & Growth

  • Serve as the senior strategic lead and primary contact for client leadership
  • Lead high-impact conversations around strategy, performance, and future opportunities
  • Build deep trusted relationships that translate into long term partnerships and account growth
  • Identify and drive organic growth across channels and business units
  • Contribute to new business through referrals, relationships, and opportunistic wins

Integrated Campaign Leadership

  • Oversee fully integrated campaigns across:
    • Broadcast TV & Radio
    • Digital (paid, owned, CRM, web)
    • Print, collateral, and content
    • Sponsorships and experiential
  • Ensure strategy translates cleanly into execution across all channels
  • Partner closely with Media, Creative, and Production leads to deliver standout work
  • Maintain the absolute highest standards for thinking, storytelling, and results

Financial Ownership

  • Own scopes of work, forecasting, and account profitability
  • Monitor burn, flag risks early, and manage change orders confidently
  • Balance client ambition with sound financial discipline

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a Project Coordinator and a Jr. Account Coordinator
  • Provide clear direction and accountability across internal teams
  • Create structure and accountability without slowing momentum
  • Elevate the entire team’s performance through clarity, communication, and standards

Who You Are

  • 10-12 years in agency account leadership roles
  • Proven ability to independently lead and grow complex accounts
  • Comfortable acting as the face of the agency with senior clients
  • Strong grasp of integrated marketing across traditional and digital channels
  • Financially fluent. You understand margins, scopes, and how agencies actually make money
  • A natural connector who can turn relationships into revenue
  • Calm under pressure, sharp in the room, and always a step ahead
  • Proactive and self directed. You don’t wait for direction. You create it

Bonus Points If You

  • Have experience in automotive, tire or financial services
  • Bring an existing client relationship or book of business
  • Have worked across both brand and performance marketing ecosystems
  • Thrive in fast-paced evolving environments where things are being built, not just maintained

Compensation $150,000 – $165,000
