Staff Accountant

Full Time | El Segundo, CA (In-office position)

About The Role:

We’re looking to add a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to our team. If you’re passionate about numbers, accounting systems, and working in a fast-paced creative environment, we’d love to meet you! The Staff Accountant will play a key role in supporting our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the day-to-day accounting functions.

This position requires strong experience with QuickBooks Online and Google Sheets, as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles and processes in an advertising agency setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and payroll processing.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Utilize QuickBooks online to manage client billing, project tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and process client invoices, track payment statuses, and assist with collections as needed.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate project costing and budget management.
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Support the monthly and year-end close process.
  • Handle general ledger entries and journal entries.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and tax regulations.
  • Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within an advertising or creative services environment.
  • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Google Sheets
  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • High level of attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under tight deadlines.
  • Team-oriented with a collaborative attitude.
  • Must be able to work in-office at our El Segundo location.
