About The Role:

Sweet Spot Media is seeking a versatile and highly skilled Agency Video Editor to join our in-house team in El Segundo, California.

This role is ideal for a creative professional with strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, capable of working across a diverse range of client projects.

You will edit high-quality video content for various platforms, including digital/social media, television, and more.

This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with multiple clients, execute creative briefs, and help bring compelling narratives to life across all media channels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing for Multiple Clients:

    • Edit a wide range of video content using Adobe Premiere Pro for diverse clients in multiple industries, including TV commercials, digital/social media videos, branded content, and promotional materials.
    • Manage and execute client-specific edits across various platforms, ensuring that each video aligns with brand guidelines, messaging, and target audience.
    • Work closely with account managers, producers, and creative directors to meet project goals and deadlines for multiple clients simultaneously.
  • Motion Graphics & Visual Effects:

    • Create and integrate motion graphics, text animations, and dynamic visual effects using Adobe After Effects to enhance and elevate video content for digital ads, TV spots, social media, and more.
    • Design custom transitions, intros, outros, and lower thirds to match each client’s unique style and needs.
  • TV & Digital Video Editing:
    • Edit video content optimized for various formats including broadcast TV, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other digital platforms.
    • Ensure TV spots are edited according to broadcasting standards and specifications, including aspect ratios, audio levels, title/action safe and closed captioning.
    • Adapt content for specific platform requirements such as aspect ratio, length, and resolution (vertical video for social media, 16:9 for TV, etc.).
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with creative teams, producers, and clients to develop concepts and ensure videos meet client expectations.
    • Be a key part of brainstorming sessions, providing creative input and offering suggestions that enhance the final product.
    • Manage and organize multiple editing projects with varying deadlines, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Audio and Color Grading:
    • Perform sound editing, including mixing, noise reduction, and syncing audio to video for both digital and TV content.
    • Use Premiere Pro and After Effects to color grade footage and ensure a consistent visual tone across all videos.
  • Quality Control & Final Output:
    • Ensure all final edits are polished, error-free, and consistent with project specifications.
    • Prepare final exports in the appropriate file formats for distribution on TV, social media, websites, and other platforms.
    • Maintain an organized editing workflow, managing media assets and versions efficiently.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a video editor, preferably within an agency setting, with a strong portfolio showcasing short-form content for both TV and digital platforms.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with a deep understanding of video editing workflows.
  • Proven experience creating video content for various platforms, including TV commercials, social media ads, YouTube videos, and web content.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in video editing, motion graphics, and visual effects (including After Effects, Premiere Pro, and other relevant tools).
  • Strong understanding of TV broadcast standards and file preparation, including compliance with technical specifications for air.
  • Knowledge of audio mixing, sound design, and the ability to optimize audio for TV and digital platforms.
  • Familiarity with file management, codecs, and video exporting for different platforms and media.

Creative Skills:

  • Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to create engaging content that resonates with diverse audiences.
  • Experience in crafting content for a wide range of clients and industries, ensuring each video maintains a high level of creativity and brand consistency.
